5 Spoke WheelsEach of our 5-spoke wheel kits contains one pair of unpainted laser cut ply wheels and one pair of molded plastic hubs and keepers. Simply apply a small amount of medium CA to the inside flange area of the hubs and gently press the ply wheels in place. The molded keepers are a press fit on the specified axle size making installing these wheels a snap.When ordering choose the outside diameter of either 20mm or 16mm and an inside diameter for the hub of 0.032 inch or 0.025 inch to fit those wire sizes. The larger .032 inch size is for planes about the size of our Micro Chuck kit. Landing gear music wire in 0.032 and 0.025 inch sizes can be ordered on our Misc Supplies page.The ply wheels can be painted a variety of colors using spray paint before installing the hubs in the wheels. Krylon Short Cuts paint available in many hardware and craft stores is a good choice.Weights for wheels with hubs and keepers per pair are 0.27g for the 20mm and 0.16g for the 16mm wheels.
